Microsoft is taking a major step towards strengthening its cloud gaming service by bringing three iconic Call of Duty games to Xbox Cloud Gaming. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will be able to play Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, and Call of Duty: Warzone without a console starting October 25.

The company’s decision also means that any Call of Duty game will be added to the Xbox cloud service for the first time on launch day. Microsoft, which acquired Activision-Blizzard last year, has started to offer players the expected innovations in this context.

Ashley McKissick, Vice President of Microsoft Gaming Experiences and Platforms, said that this development will be a big win for the Xbox community. The three games will be playable on multiple platforms including consoles, PC, mobile devices, Amazon Fire TV, Meta Quest, and Samsung Smart TV.

Confession from Payday 3 dev: “We screwed up!”

The Payday series, which attracted great attention in the world with its first two games, almost hit rock bottom with the third game. Here's why!

This launch comes ahead of Microsoft’s planned expansions for November. For those who don’t know, the company will test the ability to play games from users’ libraries over the cloud, even if they’re not on Game Pass. Of course, it will first be available to Xbox Insiders before being made widely available.

Microsoft is also introducing the ability to purchase Xbox games through the Android app starting November 1. The new feature is the result of a court ruling that required Google to allow alternative payment options on Android.
